Motorway A1 from Vienna (60 km) or Salzburg (220 km) to junction St. Pölten - exit direction Krems (20 km) to junction Traismauer - exit direction Krems to exit Mautern - from here follow signs to Göttweig Abbey.
Take the S 5 motorway from Vienna (85 km) to the Traismauer junction - exit in the direction of Krems as far as the Mautern exit - from here follow the signs to Göttweig Abbey.

From Vienna & Salzburg: Westbahn to St. Pölten - change to the train to Paudorf or to Furth bei Göttweig
From Vienna: take the Franz-Josefs-Bahn to Krems - then change to the train to Furth/Göttweig or Paudorf, bus to Göttweig Abbey.
