The use of telemedicine and modern technologies makes it possible to support high-quality healthcare independently of location and cost-efficiently and to reduce the burden on patients by avoiding travelling and waiting times. The Lower Austrian Provincial Health Agency is already utilising the opportunities offered by telemedicine in many areas of ongoing routine care and is planning to further expand digital services in order to provide even better healthcare for the people of Lower Austria.
