The whole of Europe has been struggling for weeks with the challenges of a second intensive wave of coronavirus infections. The rising numbers have also led to a further lockdown in Austria. The focus is now on the health of all Austrians, even if the measures demand a great deal of effort from the population.
Especially in this difficult phase, there must be coordinated cooperation between the individual European states. In this online salon, we want to explore questions about cross-border cooperation in the health sector in Europe and its impact on Lower Austria: How does communication between the WHO, Europe and Lower Austria work? How do Lower Austrians who do not live in their home country fare? What impact has the crisis had on the healthcare system in Lower Austria and neighbouring regions? Have we learnt anything from the first lockdown?
